Modern Warfare 2 Season Two is the second post-launch content drop for Infinity Ward's latest title. Although it's still a while before you drop into the next season, the rumour mill surrounding what's in store is starting to turn much to the excitement of Modern Warfare 2 fans.

Despite the lack of information, it's easy to estimate some of the content making its way into multiplayer. Just like the first season, a new battle pass will arrive in addition to new Operators, weapons, and more.

When does Modern Warfare 2 Season Two start?

Activision has revealed MW2 Season Two will commence on February 15 which isn't far away.

Modern Warfare 2 Season Two leaks

A WhatIfGaming report from notable Call of Duty leaker RalphsValve has already showcased the key artwork for Season Two. The images show the return of Ronin from 2019's Modern Warfare and two new Operators expected to launch during the season.

In addition to new Operators, the background confirms the Castle map from World at War and Vanguard is on its way to multiplayer.

Modern Warfare 2 Season Two battle pass

Just like Season One, Season Two will have a brand-new battle pass packed with new content. The new sector structure allows players to navigate the progression tree in an alternative way by earning battle pass tokens.

You can choose to spend the tokens on a number of different sectors. Fancy unlocking a cool weapon blueprint ahead of a double XP token? No problem.

Information on what the Season Two battle pass contains is unknown but once we hear more, you'll be the first to know what's up for grabs.

Instead of Hardcore arriving when Modern Warfare 2 launched, fans were left disappointed with the appearance of Tier 1. Infinity Ward has listened and reverted the change much to the delight of fans.

Modern Warfare 2 Season Two guns

Season Two will feature five new weapons in multiplayer. Here's a full list of guns and weapons arriving over the course of the season:

  • KV Broadside
  • ISO Hemlock
  • Crossbow
  • Dual Codachis
  • Tempus Torrent

After revealing the Crossbow in leaks, it turns out they were accurate. This particular weapon features in the Path of the Ronin event starting alongside the new season.

Modern Warfare 2 Season Two game modes

Contrary to leaks suggesting Cranked is returning, MW2 Season Two will feature the return of Gun Game and Infected. Although both are hugely popular, Gunfight continues to go missing much to the annoyance of fans.

Is Ronin in Modern Warfare 2?

As mentioned above, the Season Two artwork confirms Ronin is the main focus of the next Modern Warfare 2 seasonal update. With Raids arriving in Season One Reloaded, there's every chance he appears in the second Raid which is a continuation of the single-player campaign.

With Ronin the face of Season Two, there's a strong possibility the Operator is available within the battle pass.
