Hitman 3's Finally on Steam, But Fans Aren't Happy

Hitman 3 was well received last year, though many fans still harbour a grudge with IO Interactive over the PC version. Having taken a deal with Epic Games for one-year exclusivity, Hitman 3 finally launched on Steam (and PC Game Pass) yesterday, though it's not gone down well.

Receiving “Mixed” reviews on Steam at the time of writing, The Gamer highlighted various players criticising IO Interactive for their previous deal and releasing it on Steam at full-price. Some even suggested getting the Hitman Trilogy through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, showing anger over this delay.

Hitman 3 Gets Mixed Steam Reviews Due to Epic Games and Bad VR

However, it's not only due to that Epic Games deal. Hitman 3's PC VR mode has also faced criticism, with outlets like ScreenRant and UploadVR reporting that its launched in a bad state. It's worth nothing that Hitman 3's PS4 edition didn't receive similar criticism over PSVR, so we're hopeful for a fix.

Hitman 3 is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, having recently entered Year Two. Switch players can access a Cloud Version, which requires a strong internet connection.
