New Pro Coming In To Replace Royal2 After Halo Infinite Tournament Ban

In a surprising turn of events, it seems like Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper has made a shock move to Sentinels' Halo Infinite roster.

After the Sentinels were accused of cheating in the Halo Championship Series, judges found this to be true, with Royal2 using Geofilter to gain a connective advantage over opponents. Just when their HCS hopes were almost dead, FormaL rejuvenated their prospects by taking the streamer's place at the last minute.

FormaL Reveals A Shocking Swap To Sentinels Following Royal2's HCS Ban

With Royal2's ban, Sentinels were not eligible to compete in the HCS Kickoff Major Raleigh with its limited number of players. That's when FormaL stepped in, announcing his sudden move:

Heading into the Halo Infinite LAN competition, the Sentinels will consist of this team:

  • FormaL
  • LethuL
  • SnakeBite
  • Frosty

CEO of Envy Gaming, Mike Rufail, also commented on the switch, explaining that there are no hard feelings regarding the change.

I can't lie, it's a little scummy to move from a team that believes in your talents. But at the end of the day, you take all of the opportunities you can get - that's what FormaL did. And as Rufail said, they already have some of the best Halo players so losing one of them isn't all bad.

What do you think of the move? And do you think the Sentinels are back in the running to become HCS winners? Let us know in the comments.
