How to set up SMS verification for Valorant Premier

Before we get into setting up SMS verification for Valorant Premier, you should first know what Valorant Premier is, and what SMS verification does for you.

Valorant Premier is the new in-game feature that allows players to build their own teams and compete across a season of pre-scheduled matches. Players can create and join a team of five friends and compete against teams with similar skill levels. This means that if you and your teammates have different ranks, you'll be able to compete with that taken into consideration.

Each season of Valorant Premier will last a few weeks, and if your team plays well, you'll be able to qualify for the end-of-season tournament battle to fight for the title of Division Champion. Eventually, Premier is aiming to replace the open qualifiers for VCT eventsm and it may serve as the starting point for the path-to-pro Valorant esports pipeline.

In setting up SMS verification for Valorant Premier, we've prepared some easy steps to go about the process for your verification:

  1. First, go to the Premier tab of the client and click Verify on the Verify Now panel on the right-hand side. Take note that if you see a Create a Team panel on the right instead of Verify Now, that’s because you’re already verified and meet all the eligibility criteria to create or join a Premier team.
  2. Enter your country code, followed by your area code and phone number. You can find country codes in this link.
  3. You'll then be sent a text message with a secret code; enter that, and your account will be SMS verified.

Remember that you won't be able to play Valorant Premier if you don't verify your account. You'll only need to go through this process once and only one Riot account can be attached to your phone number.
