Street Fighter 6 DLC - What we know so far

Street Fighter 6 is finally here and you'll be getting to know the new characters in the game. So you're aware of the DLC characters Capcom will be adding in the future, we have a guide on the Street Fighter 6 DLC and what we know so far.

In the Street Fighter games, you usually see DLC characters who are included in the game via future updates or purchased separately. At the moment, Street Fighter 6 has an initial roster of 18 fighters which is more than its predecessor. Despite these additions, the game could still see more characters in future updates.

Street Fighter 6 DLC - What we know so far

Capcom officially announced in the Street Fighter 6 Showcase that Street Fighter 6 will introduce at least four additional characters to the game by Spring 2024. They even mentioned expanding the game's roster after the initial four characters drop.

For the first year of the game's release, the DLC characters include Rashid, Akuma, Ed, and A.K.I. You should be familiar with the first three as they are household names already seen in previous instalments of the Street Fighter games.

A.K.I is the newbie to the roster. Similarly, Capcom also revealed in the Street Fighter 6 Showcase the release dates of each DLC character. They are:

• A.K.I. - Summer of 2023
• Rashid - Autumn of 2023
• Ed - Winter of 2023
• Akuma - Spring of 2024

At the moment, we still don't know much about each DLC character's abilities and how they'll fit into the base game. So, players would have to wait for future announcements or for the DLC characters to be released so players can try them out.

How to get DLC characters in Street Fighter 6

Take note that when DLC characters are dropped, these aren't free. You'd have to get the Deluxe Edition or the Ultimate Edition to get character passes to unlock DLC characters.
