The adventures of Jedi Knight Cal Kestis and his little droid companion BD-1 have been continued, but is Star Wars Jedi Survivor on Nintendo Switch? The action-adventure game is the sequel to 2019's Fallen Order, and has finally launched on its main platforms.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor will be taking advantage of the technology in the latest generation of consoles, so the chances of a Nintendo Switch version could be slim.
Is Star Wars Jedi Survivor coming to Nintendo Switch?
Star Wars Jedi Survivor has not been announced for the Nintendo Switch, though it is extremely unlikely that it could come to the hybrid platform after launch.
The previous game, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, did not appear on the Nintendo Switch at all. It instead launched for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. So, it is not surprising that the sequel would also not come to the six-year-old Nintendo console, given it doesn't have the requisite power to run it.
There is the slim chance of a cloud version releasing on Nintendo Switch, similar to Capcom's cloud release of Resident Evil Village on the console. However, since nothing of this nature been announced, it appears fairly unlikely.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor platforms
Star Wars Jedi Survivor launched for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on April 28. Those who have not been able to upgrade to the latest consoles will, unfortunately, be out of luck, as the sequel will not be coming to PS4 or Xbox One.
The game has joined the growing number of upcoming titles that are leaving the last generation of consoles behind to focus on more advanced hardware for the title's benefit. Therefore, it makes the chance of a Switch port even more remote.
PC players will also be able to choose which launcher to buy the game from, since it will be available in various digital stores including the EA app, the Epic Games Store, and Steam.
