Expectations are through the roof for Insomniac to take its monumentally successful franchise to a whole new level, and early indications are that it has hit the nail on the head.

Improvements are said to have been made to the already-fluid combat system, but one of the most heavily-praised enhancements in the series has been the traversal system. With the introduction of web wings and a much faster web-swinging experience, expect New York to go by in a flash.

The game is headlined by Marvel villain Kraven the Hunter, who makes his first appearance in a video game, but we'll also go toe-to-toe with fan favourites like Venom, Sandman, and the Lizard.
