Slime Rancher 2 is available in early access on both PC and Xbox, and we've eagerly been exploring the colourful area of Rainbow Fields and its neighbouring areas as Beatrix, discovering Slimes once more. There are new Slimes like the Flutter and Cotton Slime, and returning favourites like the Boom and Phosphor Slimes. Dive into this wiggly, jiggly world and fill your farm with friends!

Where to find Radiant Ore in Slime Rancher 2
Radiant Ore can blend into its surroundings despite it being a shiny, prismatic rock. The nodes appear in odd places and have rectangular, pinkish crystals growing out of a stone base. Each node will contain two or three Radiant Ore pieces.
In order to collect the ore pieces from the outcrops, you'll need to have equipped your Vacpack with the Resource Harvester upgrade. This only costs 10 Cotton Plorts and some Newbucks. Once that's sorted, head on out to hunt the ore, and just suck it up from the nodes.
Slime Rancher 2 has randomised where resources appear - this includes Radiant Ore, Buzz Wax beehives, and liquid resources' fountain deposits. This can make it hard to actually find the materials on a daily basis.
Generally, Radiant Ore doesn't appear near the Conservatory and is more common in Ember Valley. Check the bottom of cliffs, and on every stony surface you see, and eventually, you'll track down the Radiant Ore deposits.
What is Radiant Ore for?
The Radiant Ore pieces are used to make a few different gadgets and upgrades in the lab underneath the Conservatory. Shoot them into the Refinery, and then you can use them to fabricate many things for both Bea and the Range!
Radiant Ore is currently used in three different recipes for the Jetpack addition for Beatrix, and two gadgets that are placeable anywhere on the ranch and surrounding areas.

Given that Slime Rancher 2 has only just been released into early access, there is every chance that more Radiant Ore deposits will be added, or they will be changed to be in specific places.
