Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - How to get Nasty Plot

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, there are a few ways that you can find Nasty Plot.

  • Finding the TM on the ground
  • The Academy
  • Crafting the TM

Now let's dive deeper into each of these methods.

Nasty Plot TM Location

The easiest way to get Nasty Plot is to find the TM on the ground. This is only found in Area Zero though and will require you to be able to mount up, so it's going to be more of an end game find. To find the TM in Area Zero, follow these steps:

  • Head to Area Zero, and select Research Station 2
  • Leave the Research Station building and turn left.
  • Climb up the wall behind Research Station 2
  • Continue up the mountain and you'll see a small rock by a wall
  • The TM is located behind that rock.

The Academy

The next place to get Nasty Plot is through the Academy. You'll have to complete all of the History Classes first, but after that's done, you can talk to Ms. Raifort in the Staff Lounge to get a copy of the TM.

Crafting

The last way to get Nasty Plot is to craft it. You'll need a few materials so here's what you need to craft the TM.

  • 5000 League Points (LP)
  • 3x Meowth Fur
  • 3x Spiritomb Fragment
  • 3x Tatsugiri Scales

What is Nasty Plot in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

As we mentioned earlier, Nasty Plot is a powerful set up move in the game. It's a Dark type move, with 20 PP. It's effect is that it raises the Special Attack stat of the user by two stages. This is very powerful as the power gains granted by its effect can allow for the user to OHKO (One Hit KO) most opposing Pokemon.
