My Singing Monsters island basic

My Singing Monsters is a game that revolves around building and investing in different themed islands. This is done by maximising the number of coins that each of these monsters can produce. There are a few different things that can affect how quickly they do this, but one of the most important ones is how happy a monster is.

Each monster in My Singing Monsters will have a list of likes, which can include a mixture of both monsters and decorations. When one of these likes are placed within two squares from the monster, their happiness will increase by 25%, which will also boost their coin production by 25%. Therefore, you'll need the best plant island layout in My Singing Monsters. There is only a limited amount of space, so you need to be efficient.

A Vector grid layout for Plant Island

Plant Island is the first island available to the player and has a Natural Island layout. It is advised for players to invest a lot of time and coins into this Island, ensuring that the structures are upgraded, and the monsters' happiness is as close to 100% as possible. This is due to the incremental nature of the game's economy, as upgrades on later Islands become increasingly expensive.

The best placement for standard buildings

This is a grid layout for the standard Natural Islands. It shows the best placement for the buildings necessary to run the island. Some players have found it useful to use this grid in vector-based drawing programs such as Microsoft Visio, even using graph paper or Excel in order to plan their island placements exactly. However, this is not necessary in order to make a successful island.

The Unity Tree

For Plant Island particularly, where space can be an issue once you start to commit to breeding monsters, it is highly recommended to invest in the Unity Tree. This structure is unlocked at Level 16, and is vital in making the best layout for your Plant Island.

The Unity Tree allows for decorations and monsters to be placed anywhere on the island, without affecting the Monster's happiness. This means that the two-square limit no longer applies, and gives you complete freedom in decorating your island. You can focus on aesthetics and personality, rather than worrying about the optimal placement.

Even more importantly, you can put Decorations in Storage and Monsters in the Hotel, and they will also contribute to happiness. This will occur as long as at least one of them exists. This means that you can sell any duplicate decorations that may be taking up valuable storage space.
