Our Modern Warfare 3 Gora Dam walkthrough is a surefire way of beating this particular level as fast as possible.

Modern Warfare 3 fans are loading into single-player thanks to the campaign early access window. One of many innovations are Open Combat Missions which give you a wealth of options when it comes to deciding how to complete the mission. Play it a certain way and you might earn one of several trophies and achievements.

Modern Warfare 3 Gora Dam walkthrough

After gathering intel from Shepherd on a Frozen Tundra, Ghost and Soap have headed to Verdansk's Gora Dam in a bid to shut off Makarov's latest sinister plan. This is an Open Combat Mission, meaning you can choose to play like a sneaky beaver or lick the stamp and send it against the Konni Group.

Bomb defusal

There are four bombs marked by question marks dotted on the minimap and your first objective is to defuse them. In our playthrough, we headed to the furthest bomb.

Be warned, this particular device is guarded by a sentry gun so make sure you disable it before attempting to deactivate it. To defuse the bomb, move near it and interact with it.

Once all four bombs are deactivated, head towards the bottom of the Dam where Nikolai will get you and Soap to safety. It's surprisingly straightforward if you decide to take the direct approach.
