How to unlock Oni Operator in Modern Warare 2 and Warzone 2

Following Call of Duty Next, fans are wondering how to unlock the Oni Operator in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. Along with unveiling details on Infinity Ward's latest projects, the event also included the first look at Oni, one of several playable characters making their way into multiplayer and the battle royale.

In addition to unlocking the Operator, there are some exclusive weapon blueprints capable of shredding through any opponents that stand in Oni's way. However, the Operator is only available to a small portion of the huge player base.

Is the Oni Operator PlayStation exclusive?

It's bad news if you're an Xbox or PC player looking to get your hands on this particular Operator bundle. Thanks to Activision's existing exclusivity deal with Sony, Oni is only available to PlayStation users.

Hopefully, it's a timed exclusive and other platforms are able to obtain the bundle at a later date. If this is the case, we will update the guide with its release date for PC and Xbox.

How to unlock Oni Operator

The process of unlocking this particular Operator is incredibly straightforward. All you need to do is pre-order any digital edition of Modern Warfare 2 from the PlayStation Store. Once complete, Oni will appear in the Operator category as soon as you load into the game once it launches.

Modern Warfare 2 Oni Operator bundle contents

As mentioned earlier, there's more content than just the samurai Operator skin. The bundle also includes a melee weapon and a weapon blueprint for an assault rifle. At the moment, it's unclear which assault rifle will receive the blueprint.

Alongside the blueprints, expect plenty of cosmetic items to arrive in your inventory. There's a high chance numerous calling cards, emblems, weapon charms, and more will feature in the bundle.

When does Modern Warfare 2 come out?

Modern Warfare 2 launches on October 28, 2022 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC which means there are only four weeks until players can get their hands on the new game.
