Lords of the Fallen is an upcoming Soulslike title that promises to bring challenging combat, unforgiving enemies and a semi-open world for you to explore and uncover secrets in. For those looking forward to diving into the game, you may want to know what's in store once you complete the main story. Read on to find out if Lords of the Fallen has New Game Plus!

We may be getting ahead of ourselves in thinking that Lords of the Fallen will be anything but a tough nut to crack when we get our hands on it. The world you will play in is said to be five times bigger than the Lords of the Fallen 2014 predecessor of the same name and will include up to 30 different bosses to overcome. Nonetheless, let's take a look at whether there are some post-credits features in store.

We'll be covering all things Lords of the Fallen in our dedicated hub to help you overcome the demon god Adyr once again! Take a look at the game's trophies/achievements list and the PC requirements to launch it. On top of that, we've also answered the questions about whether Lords of the Fallen has crossplay and multiplayer co-op capabilities.

Does Lords of the Fallen have New Game Plus?

The good news for those who love to get truly drawn into a game, Lords of the Fallen is confirmed to have New Game Plus. While not all details of the extra experience have been revealed, HexWorks' studio boss Saul Gascon and Creative Director Cezar Virtosu shed some light on what can be anticipated.

As expected, you'll be thrust back into the story of Lords of the Fallen with a significantly more challenging array of obstacles in your path. Enemies will be tougher to bring down and will naturally dish out more damage than before. The biggest takeaway, however, is the checkpoint system.

Once you've completed the 30+ hour initial playthrough of Lords of the Fallen, you'll encounter a number of permanent Ancient Vestiges that you can use to save your game and recharge your batteries. These won't be present in NG+ and will instead be replaced by Vestige Seedlings, except for one Ancient Vestige. The seedlings will work like a temporary camp and will need to be removed if you want to relocate them. This will add an extra layer of difficulty in the game as you'll be punished for dying by being sent back to your last seedling position.

New Game Plus will have the true Soulslike fans licking their lips.

Not everything is yet known about Lords of the Fallen's NG+ features, with the devs keeping a few tricks up their sleeves. We will endeavour to cover any new additions and developments as they surface.

What is New Game Plus?

New Game Plus is a growing trend in the gaming world that only looks to benefit those who have developed a true love for a game. It is not an essential part of the experience, but for those who like to play through a title more than once, it can put a unique feel over the next run.

New Game Plus essentially gives players the option to start a game's main story from the beginning with an additional layer of difficulty. The game is undoubtedly harder in this mode, but it is generally balanced out by being able to maintain your build from the first playthrough and will usually include some unique and more powerful items, armour, and weapons.

While we don't know the full details of the Lords of the Fallen NG+, we can speculate based on experiences with other big titles that overcoming the tougher challenges will reap greater rewards. Whether it's overpowered weapons, some unique cosmetic touches or a rare spell, HexWorks will no doubt have some surprises up their sleeves for the super-fans of their IP.

New Game Plus will be a significant challenge to Lords of the Fallen, which has a pretty tough difficulty system as it is! That aside, we've got tons more LotF content to share with you, such as how to heal and travel between realms. We'll also let you know if the game will be on Xbox Game Pass and if it will include a PvP feature!
