Does Lord of the Fallen have multiplayer?

Social gamers will be pleased to find out that Lords of the Fallen includes a co-op feature so you can take on the toughest challenges in Mournstead with the help of a friend for both your first playthrough and during New Game Plus.

Players will have the option to tackle the game's campaign solo in a single-player quest or invite an online partner in crime to join in on the adventure. The co-op component promises to be uninterrupted, so you'll be able to enjoy the best of both worlds without disrupting your progress.

How to initiate co-op play in Lords of the Fallen

In order to invite your friends to join in your adventure as you travel between Axiom and Umbral, you'll need to visit a Vestige. On the Vestige menu, which also includes options to heal and level up your character, you can select the Multiplayer option down the bottom.

Co-op can be initiated with a random player via matchmaking or, if you set a password in the settings mode, you can also link up in the semi-open-world of Mournstead with someone you know. For a random match, select the Beckon lampbearer option, or Beckon friend for someone you know.

It is worth noting that a guest player will not receive the same rewards as the host. Guests receive one-third of the loot that the host does, and can only share Vigor, loot drops, social currencies, stores, and levelling-up capabilities. Guests are blocked from interacting with NPCs, acquiring world and key items, and fast-traveling.
