All factions in Helldivers 2

At the moment of writing, there are two main factions that players can go up against in Helldivers 2: Terminids and the Automatons. Factions are the perfect addition to the game since they significantly diversify the gameplay and put pressure on your squad in different ways.

Terminids

Terminids, commonly known as bugs are huge insects coming from the top-right corner of the Galaxy. These foes are focused on melee attacks and often attack opponents in swarms, firing toxic bile. Terminids are dangerous if they catch you off-guard, but they are poorly armoured and vulnerable to fire.

These are all Terminids in Helldivers 2:

• Scavenger - appears on bug missions (Trivial - Helldive difficulty)
• Warrior - appear on bug missions (Trivial - Helldive difficulty)
• Hunter - appears on bug missions in the swarm (Medium - Helldive difficulty)
• Stalker - appears on bug missions located near the Stalker Lairs. Their nests are marked as dark spots
• Bile Spewer - appears from Medium to Helldive difficulty. Sometimes assigned with special quest
• Bile Titan - appears from Challenging to Helldive difficulty. Sometimes assigned with special ques
• Charger - appears from Challenging to Helldive difficulty. Sometimes assigned with special ques
• Brood Commander - appears during bug missions, sometimes assigned with special. quest (Easy - Helldive difficulty)

Automatons

The Automatons, commonly known as bots, are steel robots living in the top-left corner of the map. The distinct feature of these robots is glowing red lights, making them easy to spot even from a distance.

Automatons are heavily equipped with armour, and their weaponry varies from shields to explosives and ranged firearms. To fight against bots, be aware of their weaknesses and always carry armour-piercing weapons with you.

• Trooper, Raider, Marauder - appear on bot missions (Trivial - Helldive difficulty)
• Commissar - appears on bot missions (Trivial - Helldive difficulty)
• Scout Strider - appears on bot missions (Trivial - Helldive difficulty)
• Berserker - appears on bot missions (Trivial - Helldive difficulty)
• Devastator - appears on bot missions from Trivial to Helldive difficulty. Sometimes assigned with special quest
• Hulk - appears on bot missions (Trivial - Helldive difficulty)
• Tank - appears on bot missions (Trivial - Helldive difficulty)
• Dropship - appears during all bot missions, but spawns only when you’re fighting with other Automatons
