Loot everything

Looting every single item you find in Dead Island 2 is a surefire way of earning plenty of cash in your fight against the undead. Anything ranging from scrap metal to wooden planks that aren't anywhere near the strength of your current weapon arsenal are worth picking up.

Traders accept all items so if you're after some extra cash, emptying your inventory guarantees generating hundreds to spend on more powerful weaponry, med kits, and more.

Search safes

In addition to looting, the majority of buildings contain a safe packed with a few hundred dollars. Considering most weapons cost a couple of thousand, any way to generate plenty of cash with minimal effort certainly comes in handy.

Sometimes, opening the safe requires a key so take a look around nearby rooms or another floor to find it. Once you've got it, head back to the safe, open it, and grab the cash.
