Before dropping into Hell-A, you'll have a chance to meet the Dead Island 2 characters. The excitement surrounding Deep Silver's latest zombie slaying extravaganza is starting to build and information on the playable characters continues to appear.

Dead Island 2 will feature a total of six Slayers you can choose to fight off hordes of undead opposition. Each one has a range of different characteristics that determine your style of play.

Bruno

Up first is Bruno, a smooth-talking LA native known for his thieving antics. Despite this, he's an extremely versatile character capable of embracing any challenge head-on.

Bruno comes with two innate skills designed to give you an advantage against the undead:

Carla

Carla, a motorbike racer, has taken a liking to slaying any zombies that get too close for comfort. With a thirst for adrenaline-fuelled activities, you'll feel right at home if you're after a character that loves getting stuck into the action. Here are her two innate skills:

Dani

After moving to LA from Boston, Dani quickly slotted into the city's alternative scenes before joining a roller derby team for a taste of competition. With agility on her side, we expect her to be great at ducking and diving out of the way of any incoming attacks. Here are her abilities:

Jacob

Jacob first appeared during the Dead Island 2 Gamescom trailer. A former stuntman from London is always looking to gain the upper hand over the undead and while you're slicing and dicing, you might hear him quote some classic Shakespeare. Here's his innate skills:

Amy

Amy watched the zombies take over LA while she was growing up. As a former athlete, her high agility and competitive nature is bound to help you on your way to finding safety. Here's a closer look at her skills:

Ryan

Last and by no means least is Ryan, a male stripper looking to reunite with his brother to guarantee his safety. When he's not performing, his dry sarcasm adds a bit of humour to lighten the tone when slaying zombies stopping him from returning to his missing sibling.
