When it comes to selecting a strong secondary weapon, launchers don't feature toward the top of the list as players attempt to build the best loadouts to dominate multiplayer. With the launch of Modern Warfare 2 approaching, fans are waiting for Infinity Ward to share more information on what the next dose of multiplayer has in store.
While they wait for the intel, leaks unveiling a wealth of details continue to emerge as the hype surrounding a return to a modern setting continues to build.
One particular leak uncovers a Modern Warfare 2 guns list that features a number of familiar weapons in addition to a set of new guns that players will master. With that said, is the JOKR in Modern Warfare 2? Here's everything we know about the launcher appearing.
Is the JOKR in Modern Warfare 2?
According to the leaked gun list, the JOKR launcher will feature in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. In comparison to the RPG-7 which also features on the list, the JOKR possesses a lock-on mechanism that is capable of destroying any airborne Killstreaks with ease.
Alongside locking on to any threats in the sky, the launcher can also lock onto any ground vehicles and buildings which can result in scoring multiple kills in quick succession.

JOKR Call of Duty history
For those unfamiliar with the history of this particular launcher, the JOKR made its debut in 2009's Modern Warfare 2 as the Javelin. The launcher proved extremely popular, enabling players to deal with the Chopper Gunner and AC-130 Killstreaks that were incredibly difficult to destroy without a lock-on launcher or some well-placed bullets.
Since then, the launcher makes regular appearances in Modern Warfare titles. Most recently, it featured with the JOKR name in 2019's Modern Warfare, the prequel to Modern Warfare 2 launching in October 2022.

Is the JOKR in the Modern Warfare 2 beta?
Information on what the Modern Warfare 2 beta includes remains a mystery. The beta typically features a small selection of weapons allowing Infinity Ward to gather important data in order to make any adjustments ahead of launch.
With the JOKR being one of the very few lock-on launchers to appear in Call of Duty, there's a chance it may arrive in the early build of the game.
Current rumours suggest the beta will commence in mid-September so there's not long to go before we find out if our favourite lock-on launcher appears.
