Is Guardians of the Galaxy Coming to Nintendo Switch?

Yes, Guardians of the Galaxy is available on Nintendo Switch. It was released on October 26, 2021. There is a slight catch in that it is the Cloud Version of the game. What this means is that instead of downloading the full game and having it run on your Switch, you will connect to cloud servers and stream it. This requires a good internet connection and means that you must always be online in order to play.

Can I Run Guardians of the Galaxy Cloud Version?

Given that this is a cloud version of Guardians of the Galaxy, performance depends entirely on your internet connection. Nintendo recommends a 'persistent high-speed internet connection' but does not specify any further information. The good news is that you can download a Trial Version and test it out before you buy. We absolutely recommend playing the free trial, as the game simply won't run properly if your internet isn't up to scratch.

How to Access the Free Trial

The free trial can be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop, by searching for Demo content, or by going to the game page. It lets you play for ten minutes total, which should be enough to tell whether or not your internet connection is stable enough for the full game. Do not purchase access to the game if you are not fully satisfied with the quality of the game or the streaming service during the free trial. Your progress and data from the free trial will not be transferred to the game.
