Safe houses are an integral part of any open world game like GTA San Andreas. When it comes to GTA San Andreas though, safe houses are the place where you can save the game, and change your own wardrobe.
Interestingly enough, you can also play a game on your TV inside your safe house in GTA San Andreas.
You start with only one safe house when you begin the game, and that's located at Grove Street. You need to work your way up from here and find and purchase other safe houses that are spread out all over the city.
Here's everything you need to know when it comes to buying safe houses in GTA San Andreas.
GTA San Andreas safe houses: Everything we know
When you start driving around the city as you progress through the game, you'll notice that many house icons pop up on the map.
Some of these icons are red in color while the others are green in color. Now, the houses that are red in color cannot be purchased just yet. But you can definitely purchase the houses that are green in color.
However, it's not possible to know how much a particular safe house costs without actually driving up to it. You need to stand in front of the house to see the price.
There will be a small green icon that keeps rotating in front of the house if it's purchasable. The price of the property is shown on top of this icon.
That being said, if you do have the money on you, all you need to do is press the button that shows up on the prompt and you'll end up buying the property.
If you do not, you need to try again next time when you have the money. And every time you save your game at the safe house, the clock moves ahead by 8 hours. Although it doesn't really matter most of the time, there are a few missions and dates that are time specific, so this information does come in handy at times.
