GTA 5 is still one of the best single-player open-world games out there, with a ton of activities to do and heists to partake in, especially with the kind of people you can recruit.

Heists are a major part of the game, letting you make a good amount of cash with your teammates and living out that criminal fantasy players might have.

That being said, if you want to have the best possible heists, you’ll need the best members, and choosing who to have can be tricky.

If you want the best of the best, but are willing to lose some money in GTA 5, the best crew you can have are Eddie Toh or Taliana Martinez as a driver, Gustavo Mota, Packie McReary, and Chef as the best gunman and Paige Harris as the best hacker.

Eddie, Packie, and Paige are fairly expensive, taking a decent portion of the cut, so keep that in mind but at least you’re assured of a good job.

Another thing players should think about is that crew members level up after each heist, so even poor characters like Hugh Welsh and Rickie Lukens can become better.

The only bad character who doesn’t get better is Karl Abolaji, who is only available in the final heist of GTA 5, so you’re better off not choosing him.

While we won’t blame you for only choosing the good heist characters in GTA 5, the fact that your lesser crew members can get better is a plus so maybe consider getting them some experience.

This way, you can save some money and make the most out of the supposedly ‘useless’ crew members.
