MiHoYo debuted the Genshin Impact 2.3 livestream and trailer, showing off what to expect in the new update, including a new Wish system, Christmas events, and more. The Genshin 2.3 update has events unfolding across Inazuma and Mondstadt, including the closest thing to a Genshin Impact Christmas event we'll be getting.
Genshin Impact Shadow Amidst Snowstorms
Genshin Impact 2.3 releases November 24 and is called Shadow Amidst Snowstorms. The fight against the Shogun might be over, but the new update continues the Inazuma story, this time shifting to Goroy and new character Arataki Itto. Meanwhile, the Traveler will also return to Dragonspine to see Albedo and Eula in a separate set of events.
Genshin Impact 2.3 Banners
All four characters mentioned - Albedo, Arataki, Eula, and Gorou - will be available in the update's Character Event Wish, but there's a slight difference.
mihoYo is also introducing a new Character Event Wish system where two character banners will be introduced at the same time. The new system will allow the two character banners to share its safety net system, which can encourage players to have roll for either and rely on this system to secure a 5-star roll.

Genshin Impact 2.3 Events
Shadow Amidst Snowstorms will also introduce new seasonal quests and activities, such as the Dragonspine Special Training and Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog quests to get various rewards including Primogems and Character upgrade materials, and there's even a snowman building event, if you want to build a snowman.
Finally, the Misty Dungeon and Energy Amplifier events are making a comeback with new challenges and enemies in store.
