Is Genshin Impact on MacOS?

Genshin Impact quickly became a hit with gamers everywhere, whether they prefer to play on PC, PlayStation 4, or mobile devices, miHoYo really knocked it out of the park with this game, giving everyone a satisfying single-player experience with lovely-looking characters, decent enough combat, and a whole world you can explore to your heart’s content, which is a real shocker since this is a free-to-play game.

A Nintendo Switch version is in the works as well, which is kind of funny if you remember the early controversy about this game being compared to Breath of the Wild, but with more open-world games like Immortals: Fenyx Rising borrowing elements from Nintendo’s masterpiece, it’s become more accepted around the gaming community and fans are fairly excited about the Switch port, though there are some gamers who are wondering if a MacOS version is in the works.

Is Genshin Impact on MacOS?

Unfortunately, miHoYo hasn’t revealed any news about a possible version on MacOS so it appears that the wait will go on a bit longer.

There are several workarounds to play Genshin Impact on MacOS, like using a Windows partition or, God forbid, emulating it, but we would prefer it if the game were also on Macs.

Genshin Impact does work fairly well on iOS, though it does take up a lot of space, so it’s a shame that Apple users haven’t been given a chance to play it on their macs so here’s hoping that a port is in the works.

While the lack of Genshin Impact on Mac is disappointing, the fact that it's available on plenty of other devices ensures that people will be playing this game somewhere.

Aside from Macs, the game is also not yet available on the Xbox One but we’re sure that could change since the folks at Microsoft have been trying hard to win over Asian countries by porting popular games like the Kingdom Hearts series and Dragon Quest 11.

As of this writing, Genshin Impact is only available on the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, with a Nintendo Switch port currently being developed.
