Genshin Impact: How To Get The Waverider Repair Box

The Waverider ship has just been introduced in event included in the Genshin Impact 1.6 update. The ship can be sturdy but it can still break and possibly leave the player stranded as they fight enemies at sea. Here’s how you can get the Waverider Repair Box to heal up the ship in a pinch.

Where to get Waverider Repair Box

The Waverider Repair Box is a reward for clearing the “Main Cannon, Make Ready... Fire!” challenge once. Earning the box requires players to get 200 Shiny Flotsam which is immediately reward upon successfully clearing one encounter of this challenge. 

Once you’ve cleared the enemies for the challenge, proceed to the Midsummer Island Adventure and claim the repair box.

Item’s Usefulness

The Waverider Repair Box heals the ship for 50% of its health when used. The item is definitely useful in fights at sea when the ship takes heavy damage from the Hilichurl attacks and even environmental hazards like fire barrels and whirlpools. If you find yourself in a pinch, use the repair box even though it’ll require you to open up your inventory similar when feeding your characters when they hit critical health.

However, the item has a 90 second cooldown. Unlike regular healing food, players can’t spam this during battle. At best, the item is only an emergency one-time patch-up rather than a stackable food.

Waverider Healing

At the beginning of the event, players don’t have access to the “Main Cannon, Make Ready... Fire!” challenge as they need to remove the fog on the islands first. Even without the healing item, the Waverider ship has its own health regeneration but will require the ship to get out of combat.

Once the ship is not taking damage and far from enemies, it will repair itself at a rapid rate. If the ship breaks down in a fight, it’s possible to teleport back to an island and use a Waverider Waypoint to spawn another one. Even with the Waverider Repair Box, players don’t need to worry if the ship keeps ejecting them from losing all of its health in battles.
