MiHoYo Allows Players To Sell Their Fan-Made Genshin Impact Products

MiHoYo announced that it will permit Genshin Impact players to sell their fan-made products that feature the characters and elements of their popular open RPG. Previously, fans risked receiving takedown notices for copyright infringement.

MiHoYo issued its announcement through the Hoyolab official website (TechRaptor) and outlined the various exceptions and rules tied with this new promotion.

"Travelers are free to create original secondary content from already published content of the Genshin Impact series and produce physical merchandise to give away or sell," the company said in the announcement.

As per the guidelines, the creators need to email MiHoYo with a specific subject heading to announce their intent. Other details are also needed for you to be approved such as their launch platform as well as their organization/artist name (whatever applies), and the art must follow guidelines for the countries in which it's created.
