The World Series of Warzone came to a thrilling end this weekend as 50 of the world's best teams descended on London's Copper Box Arena for a chance to become champion.

Although attention is starting to turn towards the launch of Season 6, hundreds of thousands of viewers tuned in to see if their favourite teams could use their skills to earn a big W in front of a capacity crowd and against the very best competition.

After six maps of fast-paced action, Team Biffle emerged victorious, having displayed impressive levels of consistency and teamwork on their way to taking the top spot.

Team Biffle wins 2023 World Series of Warzone

Team Biffle scored a total of 125 eliminations and a win in game two to start the Trios tournament on the front foot. Consistently high numbers of kills along with high multipliers were enough for them to eventually win the event by 74.8 points.

The highest-placing European squad was Team WarsZ, taking home fifth place with a respectable score of 102.2 points, while Team Jukeyz sent the crowd wild after winning map five.

In addition to the Trios tournament, all 150 players dropped into Solo Yolo, a winner-takes-all solo match with $100k on the line. After climbing onto some pipes, Skullface managed to score the final two kills required to walk away with the prize money.

Alongside the sold-out crowd, Warzone players tuned in throughout the event to watch the action unfold. According to Esports Charts, the event garnered a peak viewership of just over 308k, higher than the 2023 Call of Duty League playoffs for Modern Warfare 2.

With the competitive Warzone season done and dusted, attention turns towards the Call of Duty Next event, where Activision plans to reveal more information on Modern Warfare 3 and the future of the battle royale.

If leaks prove reliable, a new Warzone map set in Las Almas could launch shortly after Sledgehammer Games' latest release, along with the integration of new weaponry.
