Whether it’s within Verdansk or Rebirth Island, Warzone 2 fans are no strangers to discovering secret areas of maps to explore. Ranging from huge underground bunkers to small shacks containing teasers for the next release, the battle royale always has secrets up its sleeve.
With Season Two in full swing, players are dropping into Ashika Island, a brand-new Resurgence map providing fans with an alternative to the vast expanse of Al Mazrah. Judging by early feedback, it’s already proving a popular addition alongside the ISO Hemlock assault rifle.
It appears players are already uncovering secrets on the new map. One fan has already uncovered a secret underwater bunker packed with high-tier loot.
Ashika Island has secret bunkers
Uncovered by Reddit user papa_geo in a recent Resurgence match, the player swims through an underwater passageway before emerging in a small cave system filled with orange supply boxes.
“This is so tight!” exclaims the player. “We should land here every time.” Although the discovery is exciting news, other members of the community believe that the newly-discovered bunker will see a huge increase in players landing there, ruining its secret nature. “Nice! But now, everyone is going to go to it…” says one commenter.
Another is quick to notice the loot from the orange supply boxes doesn’t drop any armour plates which is far from ideal in a fast-paced Resurgence match. “Still don’t have any plates,” spots the fan. Thankfully, Raven Software has already applied an update that sees eliminated players drop an armour plate onto the ground which makes all the difference.
