Blizzard Job Listing Suggests They’re Developing a New Online RPG


Blizzard Entertainment is deep into development for Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4, the latter of which recently replaced its game director. While they're already juggling two unreleased projects, the studio might be working on a new title.

As revealed in a recent job post, an Associate Content Designer is being recruited for an unannounced Blizzard game. Within, the listing's description hinting that the project is an open-world RPG.

According to Blizzard, this successful candidate should have experience working on open-world games, hinting that this new project might have the same feature:

Technical implementation and maintenance of existing events and open world content, ensuring the game’s creative pillars are captured.
Support other disciplines in their integration of events and open world content.

One requirement showcases the user's expectation of working with RPG features, alongside working with FPS and online games. Just like Blizzard's Overwatch and Warcraft games, it seems like this unannounced game will be amalgamate the developer's previous features. Hopefully, an official unveiling of the game is imminent.
