Persona continues to be a critical and financial success for developer Atlus, with next year’s Persona 3 Reload looking like another major hit for the company. It turns out that won’t be the only new Persona game coming next year, as publisher SEGA has confirmed that there is one more title coming.
Shuji Utsumi, the SEGA COO, appeared on CNBC and talked about the success of Atlus’ huge JRPG franchise. The major highlight for fans was that Utsumi confirmed that there are at least two Persona games coming out in 2024.
Obviously, Persona 3 Reload is the first major 2024 release in the franchise, since it’s a remake of the game that saved this company. However, it’s not yet known what the second title will be, though there are a couple of rumours about what it might end up being.
The Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit claims that a “party game” going by the codename Persona ASA could be this second title. Apparently, it will feature the main cast of every game in the series, including 1 and 2, as a way to celebrate the series. Whether this ends up being a Mario Party-style game or a fanservice crossover romp like Persona Q on 3DS remains to be seen.
Bringing back the characters from Revelations: Persona and the Persona 2 duology would make a lot of fans happy. Since most of the spin-off titles tend to revolve around Persona 3, 4, and 5, focusing on the two last popular games would be somewhat refreshing.
Lastly, there’s also the mysterious Persona 6 that’s been rumoured for some time now. Many were hoping that it would be released in the same year as Reload, but that doesn’t seem likely. A new entry would be hyped up all to hell, but that seems to be years away.
At the least, fans have plenty of Persona material to enjoy before, well, getting even more Persona material to enjoy. Persona 5 Tactica comes out tomorrow and we thought it was a great strategy RPG with an excellent combat system. We already mentioned Persona 3 Reload, a gorgeous remake of the game that started it all.

Persona 3 Reload is currently scheduled for a February 2, 2024 release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
