The creations of Minecraft players can range from the wacky to the ingenious, with massive masterpieces like a futuristic cricket stadium or a faithful recreation of either Elden Ring’s the Lands Between or GTA Online’s Diamond Casino being a regularity in blockland.

However, sometimes players don’t quite feel up to attempting builds on this kind of scale, possibly because they’re busy playing through Stray as a Minecraft pig.

The result of this often manifests itself in small and quirk creations like, for example, a kebab machine made using redstone, which is currently taking Reddit by storm.

Does This Taste A Bit Blocky To You?

The thread about this delicious achievement in the subreddit r/Minecraft began with user 3Rns sharing a video of the takeaway dispenser in action, captioning it: “I built a mini kebab dispenser.”

Naturally, this set stomachs growling in the replies, with user Plastic-Breath-8688 simply commenting the word kebabs, causing a user named kebab69666 to respond: “I have arrived.”

Others praised the uniqueness of the idea, with user Mipans035 revealing their Turkish nationality before saying: “dude, how could I not think (of) building this? Awesome build!” and RaphaeliskoolbutRude adding: “bro that’s super cool!”

User Kingthlouis went one step further with the glowing praise, emphatically declaring: “this is one of the best and most creative Minecraft builds I’ve seen in recent times”, as did zeezygg, who christened 3Rns a “visionary”.

On the other hand, a few users took it upon themselves to offer some minor improvements that might take things to the next level, with Fed_up_with_Reddit recommending: “now all you have to do is hook up an automatic sheep farm to it that kills the sheep with lava and cooks the mutton” and ThePharmacyst adding: “Have you tried using dripstone blocks for the meat? The texture might make it stand out a bit more.”

Some were also rather bemused by the idea of the machine being mini, with being pretty chunky. Though, in its defence, few things in the blocky world of Minecraft don’t end up looking a bit hefty.

So, order your kebab of choice, tuck in, and make sure to follow us for more Minecraft mods and Roblox updates as new content arrives in both games.
