Surprisingly absent from a Nintendo Direct in which Microsoft's Grounded and Pentiment were shown, Tango Gameworks' Hi-Fi Rush is officially coming to PlayStation 5 on March 18.

The news comes from yet another leak, albeit from an official source this time, as the Bethesda LATAM YouTube account uploaded a video confirming that the rhythmic action game will be hitting Sony's console next month. The video was swiftly made private not before fans caught a glimpse of it.

The rumours can finally end

Rumours of Hi-Fi Rush hitting other platforms started in early January, with reports suggesting it would launch on the Nintendo Switch. Later, a second leak added that Sony's PS5 would also get the title.

During Xbox's podcast event, Phil Spencer confirmed that four unannounced titles would be going multiplatform, with everyone in the industry assuming (correctly) that Hi-Fi Rush was going to be among them.

The other three mentioned by multiple sources as part of that first batch that were set to arrive on other platforms were Grounded, Pentiment, and Sea of Thieves. The first two, as stated, showed up during February 21's Nintendo Direct. News on Sea of Thieves have yet to be confirmed but there is little reason to doubt insiders at this point.

If you're a PS5 player unfamiliar with Hi-Fi Rush, you'll be in for a treat. The Tango Gameworks' developed title is an action game in which everything is synced to the beat - your attacks, enemy patterns, and even the platforming you'll be required to do.

The leaked video states that Hi-Fi Rush on PS5 will launch alongside the Arcade Challenge update, which added two new modes, BPM Rush and Power up! Tower up!

The first is a boss rush with everything getting increasingly fast as you progress. The latter one is essentially a roguelike mode where Chai loses all its power-ups, forcing you to clear encounters and select the right loadout to keep levelling up.
