While some are already focused on what might happen once GTA 6 gets a concrete release date, many GTA Online players are just trying to make the most of their remaining time in Los Santos.
After all, with plenty of regular events to get involved in and an array of new cars having been dispatched over the past few months, there’s still lots of interesting stuff around in the game to keep those enterprising criminals who haven’t yet retreated to the crime-free life of a solo chef busy.
Though some of the game’s recent weekly updates haven’t been received very positively by its hardcore players, the San Andreas Mercenaries update, which is set to arrive next week, seems to have done enough to convince many of them to get back on the grind.

Evidence of this can be found in a recent thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which user mujapafor20 kicked off by asking: "Are we ready for [the] new DLC? How much GTA$ [have] you got [saved up] for [it]?"
Their fellow criminals, never the type of crew to shy away from showing off their money-making skills, were quick to reveal their bank balances, with a few boasting lofty totals that drifted into the hundreds of millions.
On the other hand, there were plenty who seemingly haven’t been quite as scrupulous about saving up their funds, such as user Puffdingle, who declared: “I’ve got about $25k to my name, so I'm clearly ready,” and MuMbLe145, whose balance is “$43k and a dream.”
Meanwhile, many revealed that they’re still midway through grinding up the cash they’ll be spending on the update’s array of fresh goodies, while a couple seemingly plan to try and make a fortune from the activities and missions included in the update.
