While some GTA players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to make the most of their remaining time in Los Santos.

After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict the next game’s release date, lack any hot takes regarding what it should include, and have given up on planning out your first playthrough, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?

Some players have recently been doing so by growing their ever-expanding fortunes in order to buy a 50-car garage and fill it up with interesting automobiles or flesh out their other collections in anticipation of future updates. However, it seems the game’s latest weekly changes have left some unable to decide whether to make bank by finding Dr Dre’s phone.

Are you a GTA Online player who wants to forget about Dre?

Their rap-based remarks form the subject of a recent thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from user LogOfOne, who simply shared that many of the missions surrounding The Contract DLC, which stars the hip-hop legend, and the Agency property are dishing out double the cash and reputation point rewards this week.

Their fellow criminals quickly began debating whether it would be worth doing another run through the series of missions that make up the Dr. Dre VIP contract in order to take advantage of this, with user Mista-Pudding suggesting that they’d be hanging out with Dre until the bonuses disappear and vvp_D3L3T3D lamenting: “I just did a Dre Run for one million (dollars) last night. Ah (well), here we go again.”

On the other hand, some users weren’t too keen on returning to the rapper’s side, with ophaus saying: “I love the contract missions, but after a few plays the unskippable cutscenes get to be a bit much.” and Koopslovestogame suggesting that even the prospect of making around two million (dollars) per playthrough of the storyline wasn’t enough to convince them to stomach these cinematics.

Meanwhile, some players shared tips that can help make a run through the VIP contract missions more efficient, while others recommended alternative ways to make similar sums using missions associated with different in-game businesses, such as the nightclub.

If you’re open to spending some quality time with the Doc in order to earn some GTA moolah this week, you’ll want to target security contracts and payphone hits, in addition to VIP contract missions. If you haven’t yet invested in the Agency that facilitates these jobs, you can also currently take advantage of a 40% discount on purchasing that particular property.

You can also claim a free t-shirt just for logging into GTA Online this week.

Regardless of whether you’re about to be sick on your best West Coast rap playlist and cruise the streets of Los Santos, make sure to follow us for more GTA 6 and GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
