While some GTA players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to make the most of their remaining time in Los Santos.

After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what it should include, and have given up on planning out your first playthrough, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?

Currently, some are trying to do just that by digging into the Los Santos Drug Wars DLC and, in the process of adding to their business-fuelled fortunes in order to buy the new vehicles that have come with it, seem to have found a rather interesting prospective way to save money on bills.

Have you ever tried a strategy like this to save on daily fees in GTA Online?

This unorthodox strategy forms the subject of a recent thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from user HaloCanuck, who declared: “I have now (converted) all my GTA$ into casino chips so I can play the game freely without daily fees.”

A few of their fellow criminals were quick to point out that this lifestyle choice might not be too sustainable, with user optimistlax17 saying: “I tried this before and it’s smart until you realise that your mechanic won’t drop off cars anymore and you can’t reclaim cars from Mors (Mutual.)” and l-WIN-l pointing out that HaloCanuck also won’t be able to shower due to missing utility payments.

Others suggested that daily fees don’t really cost enough to justify this kind of drastic financial manoeuvring, even if GTA doesn’t have any tax authorities to punish you for converting all of your wonga into plastic chips.

]Thankfully, HaloCanuck revealed that they’re only planning to chill out by the lucky wheel temporarily, saying: “Once I'm out of cars (that aren’t destroyed) I will go back to playing normally. It's a fun experiment.”

However, user spacejester suggested that they end their stay at the casino in a bit more of a blaze of glory, declaring: “Put it all on black.”, to which HaloCanuck responded: “Tempting.”

Regardless of whether your GTA character is now ignoring a barrage of incoming calls from panicked business partners as they drain their bank accounts, make sure to follow us for more GTA 6 and GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
