Since they finally received the massive DLC announcement they’d all been craving, many Elden Ring players have simply been basking in the warm glow of knowing that work on Shadow of the Erdtree is definitely underway.

In the case of the Twitch streamers that make their living finding unorthodox ways to render the game’s boss battles more difficult whenever they aren’t diving into a new release like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the expansion will likely be a great excuse to launch a bunch more guitar-based or randomised battle sessions.

For now though, one of these terrifyingly tough Tarnished has been concentrating on battling their way through the entirety of the base game using voice controls, with their attack-based articulation having just earned them a landmark victory.

Have you ever tried shouting your way to victory against Elden Ring’s Goddess of Rot?

The latest stream of this vocally-straining run from Larxa featured battles against some of the many optional bosses that populate the Lands Between, whom the streamer missed out during her original journey to the Elden Beast.

First on the kill list for the stream was the infamous Malenia, with Larxa diving straight into battle with the Blade of Miquella and, using the character commanding skills she’s painstakingly honed over the last month or so, progressed to the fight’s second stage at the first time of asking.

Despite being met with defeat soon after reaching this point, the streamer concluded this first attempt had been positive, adding: “I wish I could interrupt her phantom attack!”. Unfortunately, the stream quickly began to turn into a Malenia-based death montage, as bid after bid ended in frustration.

Thankfully, as you can see in the clip below, Larxa’s determined grinding, interrupted by a couple of breaks to explore and recharge, finally paid off around three-and-a-half hours into the stream, with a barrage of special attacks eventually slicing the boss’ health bar down to zero.

“That was satisfying.” declared the victorious streamer as she was showered in audience congratulations while resting at a newly-claimed site of grace.

However, the stream didn’t end there, with Larxa going on to battle both Lichdragon Fortissax and Dragonlord Placidusax, with the former also falling to her exclamations, while the latter survived to be killed another day.

Regardless of whether you think you could shout two of Elden Ring's biggest baddies into submission during one sitting, make sure to follow us for coverage of some interesting streamers and guides to Shadow of the Erdtree as soon as it arrives.
