Dragon Age: Dreadwolf developer may have leaked the game's release date

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been highly-anticipated by fans for years and it looks like we might finally know when the game launches. A developer may have slipped and posted about the RPG coming out next year, which has quickly become a talking point amongst the Bioware fandom.

Twitter user Timurr22 looked at the LinkedIn of Kevin Scott, a Senior Cinematic Animator for EA, who wrote on his profile that Dreadwolf would be coming out in 2024. Unsurprisingly, this became a huge talking point and Scott ended up deleting his post, though screenshots will remain forever on the internet.

Obviously, fans will have to wait for an official statement from EA, but Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been rumoured for a 2024 release recently. Considering how it’s been six years since that teaser trailer came out, it would be nice if a show like The Game Awards confirmed the game’s release.

Unsurprisingly, Dreadwolf has been through its fair share of drama, as the RPG has changed throughout its development cycle. At one point, EA considered making this a multiplayer title with live-service elements but recent single-player successes have made the corporation back down from this stance.

Fans haven’t had a proper installment in the series since Inquisition, so Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been a long time coming. Details on this new installment are still pretty slim, so all we can do is hope that the inevitable reveal blows our socks off.

Bioware is also working on a new Mass Effect, as the company released a new trailer for an unnamed entry in the franchise. However, an insider has claimed that this is yet another trailer that’s meant to calm fans down and the actual game won’t come out till 2029. Considering how the company has literally done this with Dreadwolf, we wouldn’t be surprised if the title does take its time.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will supposedly come to current-gen consoles next year, but only time will tell. Fans can enjoy the older Dragon Age games on PC, while Dragon Age: Inquisition can be played on PS4, Xbox One, and PC as well.
