Following Stranger Things' return to Dead by Daylight, iconic horror doll Chucky, possessed by serial killer Charles Lee Ray, is making his miniature debut in the asymmetric horror game.

In an image shared on November 7, 2023, a collection of daggers are seen alongside an excessively large kitchen knife notably missing. Fans of the Child's Play movies were quick to point out the stool near the knife collection, with Chucky's short stature making him a prime suspect. It's likely that we'll see a trailer on November 8, as the teaser promises that we'll 'learn more' on this date.

The other knives in the teaser aren't particularly noteworthy, belonging to the game's original killers. Their placement on a magnetic rack is worth noting, however, as a knife being missing from one just like it is a major plot point in the Curse of Chucky movie.

Fans of Dead by Daylight are always looking to classic horror movies in an attempt to predict the game's next killer. Chucky has often been written off as 'too small' and too dissimilar to other killers to truly work with the game, but it seems developers Behaviour Interactive have found a way to make him work at last.

Other popular Dead by Daylight killers include the Xenomorph, Freddy Krueger, and Pinhead. It's fairly rare for these killers to get voice-acted lines, but hard to imagine Chucky staying silent when Brad Dourif has always been eager to reprise the character (and his foul mouth being an iconic part of the character.)

The news comes soon after the Chucky TV series reaches its third season in October. The stars have certainly aligned for Chucky, despite some fans' disappointment that the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise still isn't represented in the game.

Dead by Daylight continues to hold its spot as the king of asymmetrical survival horror, and one thing is for certain - Chucky certainly won't be the last killer to stalk the fog.
