2K Plans To Announce "Exciting New Franchise" Later This Month

During the Take-Two Interactive 2022, Q1 earnings call this past Monday, the company outlined plans to announce a new franchise later this month.

The title is expected to launch under the company's immersive core games alongside titles such as NBA 2K22 and WWE 2K22.

President, Karl Slatoff, says "In addition, later this month, 2K will unveil details of another exciting new franchise planned for launch during this fiscal year."

2K Plan To Announce "Exciting New Franchise" Later This Month

While there is no official announcement of the title, we can only guess where we will see it first unveiled.

Also later this month, Gamescom 2021 will be held with Geoff Keighley's Opening Night Live show on the 25th of August followed by the main event held on the 26th and 27th.

The timeline adds up and it would be the right event to announce the details of a new title for Take-Two Interactive.

Gamescom was confirmed to be online only again this year.

During the earnings call, Take-Two also spoke about two core titles shifting to a later date closer to the end of the fiscal year.

There are no hints as to what they are out of the 19 titles under the immersive core of Take-Two, although they are expected to be games that currently do not have a public release date tied to them.
