The Sideways Scythe was teased a long time back. However, it made it to the game with the Fortnite 18.21 update.
It's the first proper melee weapon that we've seen in the past few seasons. And it comes with some additional benefits as well.
As the description of the weapon reads, eliminating others with this weapon will heal you. But where do you get the Sideways Scythe in the first place?
How to get the Sideways Scythe in Fortnite Season 8?
Just like every other Sideways weapon, the Sideways Scythe can also be obtained from defeating monsters and looting chests within the Sideways itself.
The only other way to get your hands on the Sideways Scythe is by defeating a Caretaker boss. The Caretaker is another character that went live after the Fortnite 18.21 update.
This character drops a large amount of loot when defeated. However, defeating a Caretaker isn't that easy.
For now, these are the only two ways in which you can actually get your hands on the Sideways Scythe. Oh and yes, this weapon can also be upgraded by using cube fragments that are obtained from eliminated Cube Monsters.
And needless to say, the higher the rarity, the more damage this weapon does.
