The Fortnite x Batman comics were a massive hit. Not only did they provide a good insight into the storyline of the series, they also gave us cool cosmetics in the game.
There's just one more issue left in the comics, and it sure will pack a punch. Question is, will we see a continuation? Or will the series end here?
Either way, given the success of the comics, Epic Games is working on another Special Edition of the Fortnite x Batman comics. This edition will launch on September 18th, a day that is globally recognized as Batman day.

The Fortnite x Batman Special Edition comics
I, personally am super excited to see Epic Games work on another round of these comics. But the question remains, will this run cannon to the storyline again, or will it have a separate storyline altogether?
Given that the comics are scheduled to release on September 18th, which also happens to be a week after Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 has gone live. Keeping that in mind, we can assume that the comics will run parallel to the storyline yet again.
And if that happens, I think Batman and Catwoman won't be able to leave Fortnite island after issue #6 of the Fortnite x Batman comics. Or they may come back to the island for some reason.
Thanks to the spoilers that we have, we know that Lex Luthor and The Batman Who Laughs are involved with the I.O. in some capacity. We don't know what their plan is exactly. But I have a feeling we'll see a continuation of this storyline in Fortnite Season 8 itself.

That also creates a possibility of seeing a few more DC themed skins in the near future. Maybe Robin and Nightwing come to Fortnite too? And some villains from Batman's Rogues Gallery join the island as well.
All of this is a speculation for now. We'll have more information on this as we close in towards the end of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
