Fortnite Season 8 will begin with an odd throwback of sorts. If you've been playing Fortnite for a while now, you will remember the unvaulting event that took place in Fortnite almost ten seasons back.
Recent Fortnite leaks suggest that a similar event will be happening during the live event in Fortnite.
Everything we know about the return of the voting pillars in Fortnite
First things first, we will either be getting an end of season event or a season opening event. Now, I'm personally counting on the end of season event, because we've not seen any event in Fortnite Season 7 (sorry Ariana!)
That being said, we all know by now that the huge event that concludes the Fortnite Season 7 storyline will involve the crashing of the Mothership on the Fortnite island.
The fallout of this crash will be the starting point of the next season in all probability. Either way, the Mothership is crashing and we will be seeing a live event.
Alongside the live event in Fortnite, we will probably be seeing another unvaulting event. The voting pillars are concerned with this event itself.
In the previous unvaulting event, loopers were taken to a dimension with six such pillars. Each pillar contained a really good weapon that was vaulted.
The weapon with the most amount of votes at the end of the event was unvaulted. Now, the voting pillars have been spotted in the game files. There is a shattered zero point core that has also been spotted.
Apart from that, we don't know much about why these items have resurfaced just yet. Everything we've talked about is an educated guess.
That being said, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 will be looking to carry forward the tempo set by the current season. Here's to hoping everything turns out well!
