Chapter 2 Season 8 is now live in Fortnite and there are so many awesome skins and rewards to grab.
Players who are new to Fortnite or are just looking for new threads for their character will be pleased to know that there are numerous ways to get new Skins and other cosmetics for free.
Not only that, but they can often earn free V-Bucks to help fund your new skins from the shop!

Refer a Friend
Epic Games is currently running a Refer a Friend campaign where players can earn cosmetic items, including a new character Skin, but getting previous players active in Fortnite again! All players need to do is log in to the site, invite five friends from their friend list, and play some Fortnite!
Complete Special Quests
Right now Fortnitemares 2021 is going on, and there are plenty of free cosmetic rewards for completing Challenges!
Prime Gaming
Amazon Prime subscribers have access to Prime Gaming.
While there are currently no Prime Gaming Fortnite cosmetics currently, they add them frequently, and they usually come in the form of a free Skin.
Limited-Time Events And Cups
Limited-Time Events and Cups offer players a chance to win exclusive cosmetic items, or cosmetics items from the Item Shop before they are released to the public.
Fortnite's Wonder Woman Cup was a great example of this, allowing players to complete to earn Wonder Woman and some of her cosmetic items for free before other players could purchase them.
Epic Games usually runs several of these Character Cup events per Season, and there are plenty of other Limited-Time Events that offer other cosmetic items as well.
PlayStation Plus
Ok, this one is just for the PlayStation gamers, but Sony is offering a free Celebration Pack if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
This pack changes from time to time, so PlayStation Plus subscribers should check often to make sure there is not a new skin available!

Twitch Drops
Twitch often runs Drop Campaigns for Fortnite, with Loading Screens and more as rewards for watching specific streamers.
A Twitch account tied to an Epic Games account is required in order to claim the free items, but it is not too hard to set up.

Not Quite Free
These offers are not quite free, but offer an amazing value to Fortnite players, often offering multiple bonuses in the form of Skins, Emotes, and more.
Fortnite Crew
Fortnite's new way to spend in-game is offering players skins and V-Bucks for £9.99/$11.99/€11.99.
Every month, subscribers receive 1,000 V-Bucks as part of the Fortnite Crew subscription!
This is in addition to the V-Bucks they can unlock with your included Battle Pass access.
That's right, Crew Members also unlock the new Battle Pass as part of their subscription, giving them access to whatever unlockable skins and cosmetics for leveling up during the Season.
If that was not enough, each month also rewards members with an exclusive Skin and at least one other cosmetic item.
Crew Members also get additional bonuses, such as free Loading Screens, Save the World access, and free months of Spotify Premium.
Each month offers a different bonus, so it pays to keep an active subscription!
Challenge Packs
Fortnite Challenge packs are purchasable from the in-game Item Shop, usually for between $6 - $12.
These packs often contain a Skin and one or more other cosmetic items.
They also unlock special challenges that players can complete to earn V-Bucks.
The amount of V-Bucks available from these challenges is usually between 6,000 and 1,500.
The Battle Pass
Every Season in Fortnite offers players a choice to purchase the current Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks.
The Battle Pass gives players access to exclusive cosmetic items as they level up, as well as V-Bucks.
Each Battle Pass has rewards for players up to Level 100, as well as even more special rewards for players who overlevel.
Battle Pass holders also have access to special challenges for more rewards, such as Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7's Superman Challenges.
