Chapter 2 surprised everyone last year by adding a new focus on bodies of water on the map.

While players could now fish for health and guns, the addition of boats added a wealth of strategy to the game.

Able to move players along quickly but just exposed enough to feel like they're still a risk, boats became a way to make it into the circle or to tactically retreat from a losing battle.

With Epic dropping black and gold teaser images all over the place, clever users have begun deciphering them with the magic of image-editing software like Photoshop.

Reddit user u/ludiqpich198 has put together all the teaser images and found that Eye Land could be getting a facelift – with the potential for a new vehicle type being hinted at. You can find it here.

If you look on the left side of the image, you can spit a white helipad marking which suggests the potential for aerial traversal.

Planes were introduced in Season 7 of Fortnite, but many players felt they ruined the competitive scene. We'll be interested to see if Epic introduces the ability to fly a little differently this time around.
