Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Expansions Can’t be Bought Separately

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin launches on March 18 and Square Enix has already announced three expansions: Trials of the Dragon King, Wanderer of the Rift, and Different Future. However, if you're hoping to buy them, Square Enix has confirmed can't do so separately.

Instead, you'll need to buy either the Stranger of Paradise Deluxe Edition or a Season pass, making this an all-or-nothing situation. Announced on the official Twitter, Square Enix provided no elaboration on why they've made this move.

Unsurprisingly, that's seen a pretty negative fan response and it's not the first time we’ve seen this happen. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also had DLC that couldn’t be bought separately, with fans having to buy the full Season Pass to obtain it.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin launches next month on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. No release date for these three expansions has been revealed yet, though we'll be sure to keep you informed once we've heard more.
