Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn continues to be one of the most popular and updated MMORPGs out there, managing to tell one of the best Final Fantasy stories in recent memory while still being incredibly fun to play with friends, especially when you’re going through raids, tough dungeons, or some of the game’s incredibly tough bosses, few games are more fun to play with other people, especially with the current pandemic.
The game is already available on PlayStation 4 and PC, while Xbox fans are hoping that the MMORPG will be coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X in the near future, but when it comes to next-gen, Final Fantasy XIV has finally made its debut on PS5.
In fact, it's out now - at least in beta.
Final Fantasy XIV: How To Take Part In The PS5 Beta
Square Enix has confirmed that PS4 players will be able to bring in their characters to the Final Fantasy XIV PS5 beta, where they will be able to test out the game with 4K visuals, 3D audio, and haptic feedback.
It’s pretty easy to try out the PS5 beta of Final Fantasy XIV, whether you have a physical or digital version of the game, or are trying it for the first time on a next-gen console.
Launch the PlayStation Store with the same account they use on the game, head to the Final Fantasy XIV page, head to the (...), select Final Fantasy XIV PS5 Upgrade (beta edition), and proceed to download the game.
Players don’t need your physical copy of the game to try out the beta with your characters and if you already own the game and its expansions, you will be able to mess around with them in 4K and the other improvements mentioned.
If you’re trying this out for the first time, you will have access to the same content from the Final Fantasy XIV free trial.
Final Fantasy XIV is now available on the PS4 and PC, with no release date for the PS5 version announced, though the PS5 beta will be available on April 13.
