Sony Confirms Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade Will Remain PlayStation 5 Exclusive For Six Months

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade's only a month away on PS5. Launching on June 10, this next-gen edition prominently offers up a new DLC chapter based around Yuffie Kisaragi, alongside a photo mode, returning characters, and several performance/visual improvements.

Having dropped a new "Final Trailer" earlier today, that confirmed the Fort Condor minigame seen in the original release is coming back. However, in a slightly extended trailer posted to the official Final Fantasy YouTube account - rather than Square Enix's - fans quickly spotted something interesting.

Sony Confirms Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Will Remain PlayStation 5 Exclusive For Six Months

As we previously warned, this trailer does include several spoilers, but you can spot this detail at the very end, from 3:33. It clearly notes Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be "available on PS5 at least six months earlier than any other format", meaning this exclusivity would expire on December 10th 2021.

Officially, Square Enix has never raised the prospect of 7 Remake releasing on platforms beyond PS4 and PS5, and its long been speculated that Sony paid for an exclusivity deal. Whether it'll arrive on Xbox One seems unclear, but we'd place our bets on Xbox Series X|S and PC ports come December.
