Final Fantasy VII Remake Update 1.02 Goes Live, Adding Save Data Transfer For Intergrade


With just a week to go until Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade launches on PS5, Square Enix are making some last minute preparations. Releasing a new patch for PS4 users, update 1.02 includes an "Upload Save Data" feature, allowing PS4 players to transfer existing progress to Intergrade.

There isn't much in terms of patch notes here, as that's all this update focuses on. Regardless, you can find the official patch note below.

If you've previously paid for the PS4 version, Intergrade arrives as a free upgrade for existing owners, offering 4K resolution, 60fps gameplay and a new DLC episode revolving around Yuffiie. However, if you claimed it for free on PlayStation Plus back in March, you'll still have to pay for it separately

While we're not expecting a Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 reveal at E3, there's been several reports about a separate PS5 exclusive entry Square Enix plan to show off. Believed to be called Final Fantasy Origin and featuring "soulslike" gameplay, hopefully we'll learn more soon.
