As part of our brand new partnership with Futhead, the biggest FIFA Ultimate Team community in the world, Gfinity.net opened its doors to a whole new region of gamers, as we introduced North and South American FIFA Ultimate Team cups.
Now, we know most of you are long-term fans of Gfinity and FIFA Ultimate Team and already have a strong understanding of the eSports scene and our tournament structure, but for those of you who don’t, we’re here to help!
Below, we’ve listed a handy FAQ and tutorial on how to register for your first Futhead cup!
Are the Futhead cups free?
Yes, all of our Futhead cups are free to play! You simply need to register for a freeGfinity account.
Can I enter a Futhead cup?
Currently, our Futhead cups are open to both European residents and North & South American residents for Xbox One users. As well as a series of worldwide cups for PS4 users.
What are ‘Pro Points’?
Pro points are a system we use to seed all of our online and offline events.
Pro points are awarded for placing within the Top 32 teams of our Futhead Cups.
A full Pro Points distributions can be found below;
Monday (Xbox EU):
- Winner: 1,000
- Runner-up: 600
- Semi Finalists: 360
- Quarter Finalists: 180
- 9th-16th: 90
- 17th-32nd: 45
Monday (Xbox NA & SA):
- Winner: 5,000
- Runner-up: 3,000
- Semi Finalists: 1,800
- Quarter Finalists: 900
- 9th-16th: 450
- 17th-32nd: 225
Tuesday (PS4):
- Winner: 2,000
- Runner-up: 1,200
- Semi Finalists: 720
- Quarter Finalists: 360
- 9th-16th: 180
- 17th-32nd: 90

What do I get for winning a Futhead cup?
Every Futhead cup will feature either a cash prize, pro points or both.
A daily prize breakdown can be found below;
Monday - Xbox EU: £150 (1st - £100, 2nd - £50) + 1,000 Pro Points
Monday - Xbox NA & SA: £150 (1st - £100, 2nd - £50) + 5,000 Pro Points
Tuesday - PS4: £150 (1st - £100, 2nd - £50) + 2,000 Pro Points
Wednesday - Xbox EU: £150 (1st - £100, 2nd - £50) + 2,000 Pro Points
Wednesday - Xbox NA & SA: £150 (1st - £100, 2nd - £50) + 5,000 Pro Points
Thursday - PS4: £150 (1st - £100, 2nd - £50) + 2,000 Pro Points
Friday - Xbox EU: £150 (1st - £100, 2nd - £50) + 2,000 Pro Points
How do I sign up to a Futhead cup?
Step 1:
Login to your Gfinity account and head to your preferred Futhead cup, Xbox or PS4. If you are an Xbox user, click on your relevant region; either ‘Europe’ or ‘North & South America’, if not, skip to Step 2.
Step 2:
Find the cup you wish to enter and click the ‘register’ button.
Please note: You can enter as many or as little cups as you want, and they are all free!
Step 3:
If you have not linked your Xbox Live Gamertag or PSN you will be prompted to here.
To link your Gamertag or PSN please click the dropdown arrow next to your avatar in the top right hand corner of your screen to display your menu. Here you will find the ‘Edit Profile’ tab. Click it.
(If you already linked your Gamertag or PSN please skip to Step 5)
Step 4:
Scroll down to the ‘Link Your Accounts’ section. You will find a tab dedicated to your Xbox Live and PSN accounts, enter your Gamertag and/or PSN here and click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page.
Please note: Your Gamertag and/or PSN needs to be correct in order for your opponents to invite you, if you enter the wrong details or forget to update your profile, you will forfeit your match.
Step 5:
Once your profile is complete, head back to your preferred Futhead cup, Xbox or PS4, and re-do steps 1-2.
A confirmation pop up box will appear, click ‘register’ again to confirm.
Step 6:
Success! You have successfully joined your first Futhead cup.
However, we’re not quite done yet. You will receive a confirmation box, reminding you that it is your responsibility to confirm your attendance by ‘checking-in’.
In order to ‘check-in’, you simply need to respond to an automated private message, which will be sent to you an hour before the competition start time.
