Far Cry 3 is Free on PC for a Little While

Ubisoft is making Far Cry 3 free on PC from now until September 10, the publisher announced on Twitter. The move follows Far Cry 5's recent free weekend and is likely in anticipation of previous villains, including Vaas.

The only thing you need to claim Far Cry 3 for free is a Ubisoft Connect PC account, which is also free.

Sign up for one, or log in, and claim the game. You'll have until 7:30 a.m. in your region's time on September 10 to do this.

However, the claimed version of Far Cry 3 will remain playable after the promotional period ends.

It's not the only love Far Cry 3 is getting either. Blood Dragon is part of Far Cry 6's DLC expansion, but might be getting a standalone release as well, if recent ESRB ratings are anything to go by.

Meanwhile, if you can't get enough Far Cry in the lead-up to FC 6's release date, Microsoft and Ubisoft teamed up to offer a unique Far Cry 6-themed Xbox Series X for Microsoft Rewards members.
