When Far Cry 6 was being teased before its launch, it was the Macarena Gun - official name Discos Locos - that caught everyone's attention. The Disc Launcher performs quite similarly to the Saw Launcher of Far Cry: New Dawn, except the Macarena Gun, fires CDs rather than blades. Oh, and it plays the Macarena by Los del Rio to you as you lock onto your target and shoot them.

Far Cry 6: How to Get the Macarena Gun

For a weapon that is clearly intended to be a little bit of fun amidst the bloodshed you'll cause when taking down Anton Castillo's soldiers, the Macarena Gun deals a great amount of damage too, and is actually a rather good weapon to use. If you can handle its need to be reloaded regularly, and the length of time this takes, then you may even consider making Discos Locos one of your primary weapons. Here's how you can get your hands on it!

The Macarena Gun will not be attainable until after quite a few hours have been spent in Yara. First and foremost, you need to be Rank 7 or higher for the weapon to become available. Once you're finally at Rank 7, the disc launching gun will be available for purchase as a Resolver Weapon from either Juan directly, who is situated at Libertad HQ, or from any of Juan's Arm Dealers shops at your Guerrilla Camps.

Before you go to purchase the Discos Locos, however, it's worth checking how much Depleted Uranium you have available, as the gun will cost you 100 of it. If you find that you're low on Depleted Uranium, you can obtain it by specifically looting Anti-Aircraft Sites for yellow chests.

Each yellow chest will typically contain 50 Depleted Uranium. So, if you've been anticipating the Macarena Gun ever since you saw it in the Far Cry 6 trailers, we recommend that you keep some Depleted Uranium safe from early on in your game, as it's one of the harder forms of currency to get your hands on in Yara.

Now that you know how to get a hold of the Macarena Gun - Discos Locos - you're bound to have a good time going to battle with Castillo's soldiers. If you're curious about what else you can do around Yara outside of the main story, then we recommend reading about the other fun things on offer in Far Cry 6.
